JUDGES DECISIONS

hello,,

Are judges obligated to provide reasons for their decisions???In the Pacific I understand that not providing a decision could leave the decision open to challenge..and if possible any cases that were ordered for retrial because judges did not give opinions for their decision...

They do not always have to do so unfortunately...but you can still appeal.

how can an insurance company sue you for attorney fees if you won in a federal court by jury trial but the judge threw the case out. I lost on the judge's decision but won from a federal jury. Who would make the decision if the insurance company sues...judge or jury???

How exactly did that happen? What did the jury decide and then what happened?
