Default Better Busniess Bureau... can I say that?

Hello everyone,

My website involves selling software. The credit card processing company
that we use is a member of the Better Business bureau. The BBB told me I
could not state this information since the term "better business bureau"
is a trademark. I want to let my clients know this... "Your order will be
processed by Plimus, a reputed ecommerce merchant for software products. The Plimus website is certified by Thawte, Hacker Safe and Better Business
Bureau (BBB) online."

Can't I do this? There in no confusion here.

I put Better Busniess Bureau in the tread title, am I infringing?

Thanks

You normally can say that x is a member but cannot try to use it in a way that appears that you somehow are also endorsed.

But I am "somehow" endorsed!!! Since we are partners with a member of the BBB.

There is no insinuation that my site is a memeber of the BBB. I am stating a fact that our credit card proccessing company is - something my clients will want to know.

Obviously there is some sort of relation, they can't say there is no relation at all.

The customers can figure that out on their own without me saying it.

Do you want to argue with the BBB over this point--it kind of defeats the whole purpose of listing them does it not?

BTW - The Plimus website is certified by Verisign, not Thawte (although it's the same company...)

Cool Re: Better Busniess Bureau... can I say that?

I have been checking online jobs. I've never heard of most of them. But I've
been told the way of the world is looking the internet. But so many people are out of work, and even moving out of Michigan. I now have about ten companies that want me to join there businesses.

I dont know who to trust now I've even been wronged & lied to by two lawyers. And now IT'S HARD TO TRUST PEOPLE.

PLEASE RESPOND
P.S. More info on responces
