Is it legal to dress, say, teddy bears in costumes of movie characters (i.e. Superman, etc.) and sell the bears, or does this constitute copyright infrigement? Can the costume be altered and conisdered original work? If so, how different would the costume have to be?
Also, can movie dialogue be quoted by these teddy bears dressed as the characters and sold on a calendar? Thanks for your help! |

Normally, any commercial use of those copyrighted images and items technically does require permission.
