Default Cease and desist from selling lacoste on ebay

Hello everyone. I have been reading the cease and desist for addidas and I feel alot better but from what I also read is that these letter demands payment on which my letter doesn't. So is this just a warning for me to stop selling or what? They also gave me options: to stop selling it at my store (which I don't have any) or OTHERWISE provide information of the supplier and send all my inventories to them (which I too don't have, I buy it from over sea company that said it's legit) then I am to require to WRITE within ten days all the information that they have requested.

And if I don't cooperate then their client is prepared to discuss an amicable resolution of it's monetary claims aginst my company (I don't have one) and they will take any action of deems necessary to protect it's trademark rights.

This letter is different from all those other cease and desist letters. This one doesn't demand for payment. Should I worry? Did they give me an option to stop selling on eBay or they only meant store? So if I don't have a store I have to provide my supplier information to them?! I'm so lost and scared on what to do. They said I can go up to ten years in prison for intentional trafficking in conterfiet goods and fine to 2 million for individuals and 5 million for corporations.

Please make me understand!!

So I shouldn't send any information what so ever right? Just ignore it and stop selling it on eBay? It's not like I wanted to sell fake stuff to these people I ask clearly on how legit the product is before buying it. I didn't know this is gonna happen. Thank you though you helped alot.

See the adidas posts/comments you mentioned and it appears it is best to just stop selling and then stop dealing with them.

I got the same exact letter yesterday!!

They want me to tell them how many shirts I have, How many shirts I sold, and all inventory and it has to be in written, they gave me 10 days to reply. If I dont reply them they will their client is prepared to discuss an amicable resolution of it's monetary claims aginst my company ( WHICH I DONT HAVE).

I didn't sell that many of those shirts, I bought them also overseas and they say they are original.

After reading Adidas cases I think IT is just a scam , but the difference is that this lawyers are not asking for money and the law firm is famous.

If you have any further information, please let me know I will keep checking this webpage.
