Question Publicity rights
Is it legal to use a caricature of a famous person in a for-profit software product without his permission? I have attempted to contact him, but have received no reply. He is a resident of California, USA, and the software would be sold through Apple, Inc's (a California company) iPhone application store.

It normally is yes, you need permission.
