Default selling products: License needed?

I have a wood shop and have made a couple of things that contain NFL team logos and the NFL shield logo. I would like to make several of these items and sell them. Do I need to get licensing permission from the NFL, or can I sell them as long as I do not claim that they are officially licesned by the NFL?

If I do need to get permisson from the NFL where can I get started? Can I place a patent on these things that I have designed?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
