Our company is currently developing a website that will sell advertising space (similar to an online phone directory but with many additional functions). Are there legal implications to consider if using a slightly modified version of a competitor

Sorry, something went wrong and half my question was cut off. Basically I was wondering if there are any legal implications to using a slightly modified version of another websites terms and conditions or privacy policy. Thanks.

[It seems you may have been cut off if you were copying and pasting a question. That can happen if your copy and paste contains symbols or characters other than letters or standard symbols. It will cut off at the point of the character that is causing a problem.]


You cannot just take it and modify it so you had better make a lot of changes--or simply ask if you can use some of their provisions. They will often say yes immediately.
