Logo Infrignment?
Hello, I am about to launch a clothing line, and I am curious whether one of my designs could be considered logo infringement of the BMW logo. How different must the logo be to the BMW logo to not be considered infringement?
This logo being put on the shirt is not my company logo, but only a design. If you need me to send an image of the design please let me know. |

A lawyer would need an image to advise you.
...but if anybody sees it and say that sort of looks like BMW's logo, then you have an problem, |

Determining if marks infringe can be tricky and each situation varies from another. I'd strongly recommend contacting a trademark attorney. The general rule is to find a conflict, the designs do not have to be identical, and the products or services do not have to be the same. It may be enough that the designs are similar and the services related.
