Default After discovering violation of my copyright, how much time do I have to file

(1) If someone violates my copyrights, is there a time limit for filing a lawsuit ? If yes how many years or months after which I can not file a suit ?

(2) If there is a time limit and if that limit has passed & if the other party is still violating my copyrights, can I file a suit in that case ?

(3) Do I have to file a suit in a state where the other party carried out a violation ?

(4) Do I need the attorney from that state where violation took place ?

I would be grateful if someone can answer with as much details as possible.

Thank you in advance.

Three years in some cases.

You can file in your own district in many cases.

And yes you normally will need a lawyer to handle it seriously.

Google can also help remove any search references to it for free.

Email world law directly if you need more detailed or personal help.
