Hi,
I want to put images of famous people on t-shirts and sell them online. I would take a photo image and change it with Photoshop into a simplified graphic representation of that person. I would either use only their first name on the shirt, or their pre-celebrity name (e.g. Bob Dylan - Robert Zimmerman). I know some images of pre 1900 people will be in the public domain, but do I need permission from rights holders for images of the likes of Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia, or Martin Luther King for example? Thanks! Any pointers or advice will be greatly appreciated. |
