I am planning on starting a new video production LLC. The name I would like to use is the same name of a television show broadcast in the UK. It does run in limited syndication here in the U.S. on cable.
I have done a search for copyrights and trademarks in the US and the name does not come up. Am I safe to use the name, or could it potentially get me into some trouble? Most if not all business will take place in my local state of Nebraska. The name of the show is Torchwood and I would like to use the name as Torchwood Productions. Thanks for any help on this.
