Stoughton Motor Mart
The dealer advertised a 2004 Pacifica with $2100 down and then $81 a week regardless of credit, so I thought this would be ideal for me since I have always wanted a Pacifica. So I get to the dealer, even after clearly indicating that I was coming specifically for that car, however, when I get there I am told that the Pacifica is unavailable to test drive, however, if I wanted that car I would have to put $4000 down, so I quickly nix that idea and look for another SUV with a third row. I choose a 2003 Dodge Durango, however, we couldn't find out how to raise the third row and it was getting late so I said I would come back the next day and we could figure it out, however, the next day when I get to the dealer, I am told that the third row is missing from the 03 Durango but they had an 00 Durango that LOOKED nicer so I test drove that one and decided to take it. Now I gave a deposit of $2500 which was more than the original deposit of $2100 which would have been for the Pacifica, but I didn't get that one, however, I indicated that the same $2100 should be applied towards the Durango with the remaining $400 to go towards sales tax. Now when I got to the dealer two days later, I was told that I still had a balance of $712 which included the same sales tax that I stipulated to be deducted from the $2500 down payment, so in order to get the keys to my truck, I had to fork over the extra money. I drove the truck straight to a gas station and filled the tank up with $62.00 that night I got it, the next day, I had to put another $40 in it, and the day after that the check engine light came on so two days after I got in it, I was back at the dealer, they kept the truck for two days to fix it, meanwhile they gave me a loaner car that had a check engine light on and the tires were bald. I picked my truck up after they had it for 2 days and had it for 3 days before I kept smelling this crazy smell and then the check engine light came on again, so I took it back again but this time I told the dealer that I was not taking that truck back and that they needed to honor my wishes to get out of that truck or give me my money back so they offered me the option of choosing another vehicle which I did, however, they gave me the same loaner vehicle with the faulty tires and engine to drive back home until they could service they new car, however, there was a bad snow storm and I ended up crashing the loaner car into a utility pole because I lost control of the vehicle in the snow. Now they are telling me that they are not giving me the new vehicle and that they are not going to fix the Durango so I am out of a vehicle and out of my money because the manager of the dealer says that he is not obligated to do anything. At this point I am at a loss because I paid my insurance for the year which means that I out of that money as well, however, I am not too worried about that because I don't see a problem getting refunded for that.
At this point, I just need to know what my options are as far as getting my money back from these shady people.
