Default Computer upgrade issue

Need advice as to whether I have legal rights re upgrade of laptop.
While I was in Singapore on holiday I purchased a new internal hard drive and more RAM for my laptop. Unfortunately the new RAM card stopped working within a week of returning to Thailand from my holiday and about a month later the Hard Drive crashed completely. I have had to pay the same amount to get repairs done in Thailand as I initially had done in Singapore.
Do I have any right to a refund as Apple dealer in Thailand informed me that 3rd party products were installed in my computer whilst in Singapore?
