Exclamation help please

Hi..
We signed a 12month advertising contract with a magazine company.

After 4 months... we noticed that the magazine company has been overcharging our credit card. We intend to terminate the contract.

The magazine company is saying "Sorry for overchanging" but you need to pay us a cancellation fee of $1600 for early termination of contract.

If we are being overcharged... then is not the contract "invalid" as we are not receiving the service at the cost promised and written on the contract?
