Unhappy Help!! Allegiant Airlines

Was wondering if we have any rights in this situation:
Booked 4 tickets on Allegiant Air to Vegas for Dec 14th. On November 13th they sent and e-mail stating they were discontinuing service from our airport and the last flight will be December 10th. They gave two options 1. re-book us prior to December 10 OR 2. Full refund. For us, neither of these are options. We have non-refundable hotel rooms for December 14-December 17. I've replied to their e-mail and requested they re-book us on another airline. They replied they can not do that because they are not contracted with any other airline. To get a refund and rebuy tickets on another carrier is going to cost us an additional $150-$200 per ticket which we just can not afford to do. Do we have any rights to pursue this....we just want them to book us on another airline at their expense. Any advice would be helpful.

You can sue them in small claims for that increase in fare that you pay.

No, you can't. You are subject to Allegiant's Contract of Carriage. See Section 85 and 90.

I would still try it.

It is unreasonable for them to not to make some accommodation. Not likely they want to waste time to appear in court either.

You should have purchased travel insurance. The airlines do not pay for lost time, missed meetings, unused hotel reservations, missed tours, etc. They only have an obligation to refund the ticket price. Anything else that you booked on your own behalf is your responsibility.
