Confused Bad order PLS HELP -- large food order for a party

I recently place a large food order for a party from a business and i ordered my food and asked them not to put any onions in my food and they also gave me a completely different size of what i wanted i did not realize this mistake until i opened the bags. when i called to tell them that the order was wrong they told me next time i order to tell them exactly what i want so i explained to them that wasnt helping me as of my order for today. They then told me well to pack the food back up and the delivery man will come back with a my new order at no charge and they would take the first delivery back. As it only took 1 hour to cook and deliver my first order i allowed One (1) hour and a half (30) to pass when i called to ask what was taking so long they told me they had to go to China Town to pick up the food to cook for my order. I then told them never mind i do not want the food any more i just wanted my money back, they put me on hold and stopped answering my calls. I then continued to call and then they blocked my number which did not allow me to call anymore and then told me they will sue me for harassment if i continued to keep calling and they called the police. I then called the nearest police district to ask was i in the wrong for continuing to call and the police told me to take this as a "lost" and a lesson learned and they dont handle problems like this... What should i do?

First and foremost, you need to know that this was NOT a police matter. It would be considered a business dispute, and unless someone is in physical danger over something like this, or there is a theft or something similar, the police are NOT going to get involved.

What you should do, instead of calling over and over again, is to DRIVE to the restaurant where you placed the order and complain to the management IN PERSON. If it is part of a chain, then contact their corporate offices and complain to them. When telling them about the issues, be clear and concise, and leave emotion out of it. It's entirely possible that you got too angry and emotional to deal with on the phone, so they stopped accepting your calls at the restaurant.

Did they ever refund your money, or did that 2nd order ever arrive? Did you pay by credit card? If so, then you can contact your card issuer and file a dispute for the charges.

You could also contact the BBB and file a complaint with them.
