Vicious Videographer
My husband and I got married on October 8, 2005 in Toronto, Ontario. Our videographer was selected by word of mouth, therefore we trusted he would be good. However, he promised to deliver our EDITED wedding video up to a year following the wedding. He has NOT fulfilled his promise. We received only the raw footage which was in the agreement but not the edited version. After numerous emails back and forth, he kept on promising dates to deliver and never did. We have paid 3/4 of the total amount. The final is due upon delivery. At this point, we are coming onto two years without the video. We do not want the video but would like the money back. How can we pursue this at this point??

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior...

Many thanks for your response. How about if we do not have any money to file suit (as I am on maternity leave), are there any other alternatives?

Small claims court has no significant costs.
