Call your state legislators!!
I have only lived in Arizona for a short time,. That said, I have never seen so many people driving and talking on their cellphones as I have here! With Bluetooth technology the way it is today, why would anyone drive with a phone stuck up into his or her ear? I am not sure that having a hands-free headset would cure the problem completely, but at least there can be two hands on the wheel, if needed. I try and stay away from people talking on their cellphones. I have come too close to having an accident because of people talking on the phone and not paying attention. I am not a big believer in government control, but this state needs a "Hands Free Phone Law." I believe this would reduce accidents, as well as our in insurance rates. - Albert |

I couldn't agree more. In fact, this is a serious issue in ALL states. I can't count the number of times I've been run off the road by drivers on cell phones weaving all over the place, pulling out in front of you without stopping, not yielding the right-of-way, etc. In fact, all distracted driving should be illegal such as the driver: eating, putting on makeup, watching DVD movies, playing with GPS units and laptops, etc. I'm forced to wear a seatbelt for my safety, yet distracted drivers cause far more deaths and injuries annually than not wearing seatbelts. Where are the concerns for safety on this issue? At least if I go head first through the windshield in an accident, I'm not hurting anyone but myself.

I use my cell always in the car and frankly can't imagine not talking on it.
