I stayed in a hotel for 3 days at a cost of £225.
Advertised on it's website were a dining area and a bar. Neither were open due to staff shortages. Upon leaving I asked for reduction in the price but they refused and told me to leave immediately. I am willing to pay approx. £150 for service received. They are threatening to take me to court to retrieve full amount and will not negotiate. Is it reasonable for me to ask for a price reduction? They have taken full amount from my credit card (details I gave on booking) but I can get this refunded. are they allowed to take money against my permission? |

You would have to argue those items were critical for you. And you should have alerted them when it was a problem--not at checkout.

You are being cheap and unreasonable. If you didn't have hot water or a bed in your room then you would have something to complain about. You sound like an amatuer traveler and should stay home.
