Sold me a wrecked car

I bought a used BMW in California. I did a test drive & got a carfax. I did some research on the dealer. All looked good so I bought it. I went to trade in the car about a 14 months after I bought it and learned an accident had popped up on the carfax. I did some research and was able to obtain the repair records for my car. It had OVER $18,000 in repairs done!!!! Now I cant trade it in or sell it for a decent price. I believe this dealer knew the car had been in an accident but of course I dont have any proof. Is there anything I can do? I want the dealer to refund me some of my purchase price (I paid full price for it) or to trade me for a comperable car that hasnt been wrecked. This car is probably unsafe for me to be driving. HELP!

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.
