Default How much time to pay

I live in England where i'm having problems with Virgin media over my cable bill, they send it via email which i usually receive a day or two later, the thing is they start chasing me immediately for payment threatening cutting me off if it's not paid straight away. What i want to know is do i have by law a certain amount of time to pay the bill or is it at the company's descretion.

Many thanks for any help you can give

You do have a reasonable time but often no exact limit; if they rush it sue them in small claims.
