unauthorized removal of funds from bank account
Our internet provider called us up and asked if we would be interested in getting high speed internet service (almost 2 years ago). When i hesitated, i was told my name would only go on a list of people who were interested, and if enough people were interested, we would be contacted before any money would be debited from our account. A few months later, we noticed a withdrawal by that company in the amount of $156.45. After finally contacting the company, they told me it was for the connection fee for the high speed internet. So after getting upset eith them that they did this without our permission, i was told they would be hooking up the high speed within the next few monthes. that was march of 2008. They tried to hook it up in our area but eas unable to because of hills. When i finally reached them again, they told me i couldn\'t get the high speed and they would just deduct my monthly charge from the money they already took out of my account, until we were square. I believed them, and it was almost a year before i caught them still taking the amount out monthly. They had never stopped. I have repeatedly tried to get my money back, even through the better business bureau, and still haven\'t been successful. At this point i would like my money back, with interest, and see them charged legally. Do i have a case against them, and how would i proceed?

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office. WLD attorneys could probably also become directly involved for you, if you email them.
