Confused Conn's Appliance has conned me again! Warranty Question.

Conn's was unable to repair my that was under warrenty from. I was told I would receive a "credit." After 8 months my credit finally appeared in their computer. I had called their coprorate and Repair services at least 45 times during the 8 months I was washing my clothes by hand. I was repeatedly hung up on and always referred to different departments. I spent an average of 40 minutes per phone call always being told supervisors would retrun my calls which never happened; not even once. The motor in the washing machine was broken causing backed up water to grow bacteria and decay and an unbearable smell. I was told by one person on one of the calls to throw the machine away. I put it on the curb and it was picked up within 2 hours from someone. Finally the credit came in, (I just happened to call store 3 wks ago) and the nice sales man whom was holding a machine that matched the dryer I bought 4 months ago when I was first told all I had to do was to into the store and pick out my washer and my "credit" would be in the computer. The credit was not in the computer, but upon recommendation of sales person I bought the dryer that evening with his reassurance the "credit" should be in the computer within a few days "if corporate office told you it was there." The credit took 10 more weeks to get listed in the computer! On the day I found out my credit was listed I went down to the store, they loaded up my new washer. I was very pleased because they were giving me an exchange which would cost me nothing vs. the $375 credit I had repeatedly been told I would receive towards a new appliance. (I recorded this conversation and several others.) Getting ready to leave the store, the sales person asked me where the old Washer was. I told him I was told to throw it away. I was informed I could not receive a replacement/credit without the old washing machine. An old warrenty I foud said nothing about saving the old machine, and after another round of calls I was informed "We will not give you a credit/replacement without the old product." I told them about the warrent I had, the 8 month waiting period, but they told me too bad!. Yesterday, I went into the store and purchased the reserved washer for full price. I decided it was not the sales person's faul; so why not give him the business. Today I found out this washing machine doesn't work!!!

I have purchased over 12 appliances from Conn's. The washer and dryer were purchased from their outlet store. It says "no returns" though they do have a guaranteed warrenty for 1 year.

Question: What recourse do I have with the initial washer? Can't one in Texas return products without cause within 3 days of purchase? Doesen't this fall under Deceptive Trade Practices with trebel Damages. Who can help me?

Default Re: Conn's Appliance has conned me again! Warranty Question.

They should fully refund you, give you a replacement, or you could even sue in small claims.

...basically you did not receive the item you purchased because it never worked...and that is what you can argue.
