Default Unethical Sales Practice

I purchased a new vehicle more than 1 year ago. I recently took the vehicle in for warranty service (not to the dealer of purchase) due to engine noise. The dealer doing the repair could not locate the problem but they asked me why I had my engine replaced? I was suprised to hear this because I purchased the car new with less than 50 miles on the vehicle. Apparently, the engine was replaced by the dealer with approximately 10 miles on the vehicle. I was not informed of this at anytime during the purchase of the vehicle. If so, I would not have purchased the vehicle....I would have bought one that had not had some type of problem. 1. Is a dealer required to infom an individual of this type of situation? Is there any wrong doing in this situation?

Thanks for any advice.

HT

Yes--

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; --you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.
