On or about August 14, 2008, I purchased an online service provided by NetDetective.com for a three (3) year subscription. The online ad offered a plethora of services that were allegedly available once the business transaction was completed and a user name along with a temporary password was issued to the buyer. The temporary password did not work; thus, I requested a new one by pressing a button that supposedly was not only going to provide me with a new one, but it was going to be sent to my email address. I did not receive it, so I tried to get another one unsuccessfully several times until my frustration was getting the best of me. I contacted them via telephone to explain my problem; their customer service representative seemed to be annoyed by my inquiry. He reluctantly issued me a new one via telephone this time. Needless to say, it did not work. I was not the least surprised. I was actually shocked that their phone number actually worked, and it was not a bogus one. I paid for this service with a credit card. I do not want to pay for a service that I did not receive. Should I pay for this transaction? I already requested from my credit card company not to pay them until this matter it is fully investigated. I also reported them to the Better Business Bureau for their business (or lack of) ethics. What would you recommend me to do? Thank you very much for your cooperation.
P.S. My order ID for this transaction was: R218752649411620 Net Detective 1392 S. Woodland Blvd. DeLand, FL 32720 Website: Net Detective :: Login :: Get the scoop on anyone! Phone: (386) 736-3881 |

Call them back. Tell them to send you the refund form, via email. That's the only way they work it, or so they say. You must fill it out and snail mail it back, according to them it takes 5-7 business days for it to appear as a credit. Keep close watch on your month credit card statement as they have been known to continue to charge for this scam.
You are not alone, they've ripped off more people than you could even imagine. |

I also had a problem and was never refunded. Didn't pay that much but it was still irritating!

Your credit card should refund you if you did not receive the service.
