Angry Re: Complaints on "Royal Holiday Club"... Beware!!

My wife and myself were pulled into RHC, against my better judgement, in Cozumel about two year ago (because we REALLY were interested in vacationing discounts for our family). The WHOLE purpose of joining was to reap savings when booking vacations and savings in airfare (as promised).

We have tried to use their services repeatedly, and either the hotels are never available, or the cost is HIGHER than just booking through Expedia (or other online booking resource). THERE IS NO ADVANTAGE!

We signed up for the inexpensive Bronze package to "try it out", but we have not been able to try it out. Many verbal promises were at the time of signing, that NEVER panned out. I realized now that we were ripped-off, and I will chalk that up to experience with unscrupulous people. But I have no intention of continuing to support these fraudsters by sending "maintenance fees", and I suggest others do the same.
THEY are in default in their side of the contract, because THEY are NOT providing the services AS AGREED to.

You will find that they keep adding interest and start the annoying phone call collection process and then they will report non payment/outstanding debts which affects your credit rating.
I discovered this because I tried the same as you suggested.
Any comments/ideas - I would love to find a way cancel or nullify the contract.

you will soon get a letter from a Dept Collector in Arizona. They wiill take you to court for the outstanding fees, and if you don't pay, you will have the bailiffs at your door. I know!

Many times they induce you to sign by fraud--lying about benefits etc.

If that is the case, challenge the contract for the fraud that it is!

inform your credit card company and state attorney general. And sue RH in small clams if you have to.

I too have issues with Royal Holiday Club (RHC).
If you are a UK resident, and would be interested in starting up a Royal Holiday Club Action Group, with a view to taking action against RHC, please e-mail me at rhc-ukactiongroup@ntlworld.com. If there are enough people interested, I shall be happy to initiate the setting up of such a group.
I am a retired person, so obviously there will be a cost involved in action taken, but I shall not seek personal remuneration, only reimbursement of expenses incurred.
I shall leave this open for a while to see if I get enough responses, and I shall let you know by e-mail at the address which you send to me.

While on holiday I had the misfortune of agreeing to listen to a Royal Holiday representative pitch. It was supposed to take jus 30 min, it ended up being over 90 min.

After serving me drink after drink (11 in my last count), I agreed to give them a $500 USD deposit. The next day when I woke up I realized that this was not such a good deal and proceeded to cancel my request for their membership.

I was told that my deposit would be refunded within 5 business days. In fact they even gave me a letter in Royal Holiday letterhead stating that they would refund the deposit in that time span. The letter was signed right in front of me by their "accounting manager".

It has now been two months and there has been no refund. I have called them and the main office in Mexico countless times. I even email them a scan copy of the letter. Nothing happened.

What is the value of having a membership with an organization that does not keep their word even when it is in writing???.
