Question This is Long I hope someone will read it and give me some advice.

Just a little over a year ago I found out I was pregnant (SURPRISE!) so my fiance and I decide first thing I was going to need a more reliable four door car. Well we are both still pretty young, him younger than me and I had been through a divorce so my credit wasnt hitting on much and he had never had any credit. So we went to a local used car lot and tried to get a car. Almost everywhere turned us down except for this one that I will not name. So he told us that we needed $1000 down to get a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee so I sold my car to a friend for exactly $1000 and took it to the lot. When we were signing our loan papers he says to us that apprx. $600 would be taken out of our money to rent a device that would track our car in case we did not make our payments so that he could find the vehicle. After the car was paid off he told us that we would have to return the device or buy it for like another $300. So we signed all the paper work (there wasn't nothing we could do about it anyway we were desperate)So we got a high intrest rate loan(I mean were paying $328 a month for a car with over 100,000 miles on it but like I said what were we going to do about it anyway we didnt' have enough money to buy a car without taking out a loan) and the guy took the car down the street to his shop to have this device put on it. He was back within 10 minutes which surprised me I thought I'd be waiting like an hour. So in Jan of this year we start seeing on the news that the guy we bought the car from had been arested on all these fraud charges. Well my fiance and I got to talking about him and I just happend to mention to my fiance about the device that was put on our car and how he put it on in no time and he said that he had been talking to some of his friends and they had told him that they didnt' think that it was even on there and I agreed. Most people who have one of these devices have to enter a new code into it every time they make a payment not only do we not do that we have never been told to nor have we ever seen this device. So today we took our car to a mechanic and he said he didnt see anything like that on our car and he recommended that we take it to the chrysler place so we did. At the chrysler place the mechanic took a look and said that he didn't see it either but would not put it into writing because the chrysler place didnt' want to get involved. So thats where I stand and now I am wondering what else I can do. The local lot is still open and the dealer is out on bond operating under his fathers name to the best of my understanding. We don't want to say anything to him because the last time I was in there he was shredding a lot of documents so I would rather him not know of my suspesions in case he does still have any of our documentation. In case your wondering I am still paying on the car I have paid 12 getting ready to be 13 of a 36 month loan. Any advice would be helpful thank you!
