Finding out if a person is in jail requires checking statewide databases, talking to the booking department or doing Internet research.

Here is a link to search for inmates at state prisons in Florida. The link will not search county jail population. Most counties have searchable inmate records through the web site of their Clerck of Courts. You'll need to Google each county to find their Clerk of Courts site.
