Question credit card purchases and avoidance/recovery

my ex-fiance made payments for my college tuition with his credit card. He then had an involuntary petition for bankruptcy filed against him. The trustee is coming after me and the college to recoup the payments made by my ex. Can they do this? The payments were made less than 2 years before the bankruptcy. The interesting thing is that I don't believe my x paid the iidacredit card.
Any help or guidance is appreciated.

They can if they feel he knew he was eventually declaring bankruptcy--but you can certainly challenge that.

If it is on your credit card, contact the credit card company and tell them that it was a fraud and you do not want to pay for it. They will not make you paid for a disputed transaction.
