Can State judge make me pay something discharged in bankruptcy
I had my Mortgage discharged in a chapter 7 bankruptcy a few months ago. My wifes name is on the mortgage as well. I recieved a letter from the mortgage company's attorney saying that they are not going to pursue a deficiency judgement due to my bankruptcy. Now in dovorce court, the divorce judge is trying to make me pay a percentage of any possible deficiency judgement against my wife on the mortgage that i had discharged. Can a State Judge make me pay something that was discharged in bankrucptcy?
