My husbands paycheck started being garnished about 5 weeks ago. We filed paperwork for installment payments immediately, but it was sent back because we didn't make 2 copies. We made the copies and sent it back. We are still waiting for the outcome. We are filing bankruptcy next week. Will we get the money back that has been taken from his paycheck or is it just anything taken after it is filed?

You may not get it back unfortunately if they have a valid judgment against you.
The trustee might possibly take some of it back but you will not get it. |
