hi, i am in a common law marriage in the state of texas, we filed our taxes as married an have been together for the last 6 years. My question is, my so called husband is thinking about filing for bankruptcy an i was wondering since its a common law marriage will it hurt my credit or hurt my chances of getting ferderal grants an loans for college?
