BE FORCED TO GO BANKRUPT
Can I be FORCED to go bankrupt if sued - meaning I do not want to go bankrupt. I own my own house in Texas which I have been told I would not be made to sell if I go bankrupt...but I have CC debt outside the US and they are threatening to sue me and take my house. Apparently the debt is being transferred to a US debt collection agency. Seems weird they could enforce a UK debt in US even if it is AMEX.
If I set up payment arrangments how can one be forced into bankruptcy or to sell? Can they take you to court and then you have no choice but to sell your house or go bankrupt? Can UK debt effect your US credit report? |
