Please help
I own a condo in an 'Association' community in Georgia. HOA have sent several violation letters out to owners about illegally renting their condos out. This means that the owners do not have Leasing Permit. Some of these accusations are completely incorrect. It was strange because the names that ended up on those letters as 'Tenants'. Are the names that are on the Cable account for that unit. Everyone in the building has the same cable provider, so we are wondering if the Board would have the right to access our cable account information like that to find out if we have renters. The only way they could've gotten those names is if they looked at our personal cable info. and anyone can pay for our cable bills.
So my question is: Is this a legal means of obtaining information? And, what else can they do to find out if someone is renting the condo? What measures can they take to prove it? I mean if the owner and tenant both say NO they are not in a rental agreement with eachother, how else can they prove it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. |
