Can the association abolish an assigned dock space from the building?

I own a condo with an assigned dock space, My property title states that I have an assigned parking space and dock space. The building is having major renovations and the Condo Association wants to remove or abolish the existing docks. Therefore we would loose the assigned dock space that is titled to our unit. Can the association do that? If we decide to keep the docks the owners of the condos that have the assigned spaces will be required to pay all the renovations for the docks. The docks are common areas in the property. Does every condo owner have to pay for the renovation of the docks or do only the owners that have assigned dock spaces have to pay?

They normally have to give you an equivalent right somewhere or compensate you for the loss.

But if it is solely for construction purposes and there is no other option, they need not compensate you during the construction
