Florida.
I purchased a Condo in Sunrise Lakes, Fla in April 2008. I asked all relevant questions about outstanding liabilities and was informed by the Seller's Agents that there were no outstanding matters. I recently received a demand from the Condo Association for the payment of $3,000 being a Special Assessment arising from hurricane Wilma in 2005. I then obtained a copy of the Estoppel letter which mentions the pending special assessment but did not indicate a figure. To date no one has assumed liablilty including the title company, the seller's agent or the seller, who I have never met. What are my options? |
