Default in over my head

Hi I am currently in way over my head with a small 12 unit association. We have never had any money and we have had to do special assessments for improvements. I am the only one on the account. No one volunteered to help or has held any positions and now things are falling apart. I pay all the bills ,buy supplies, and make improvements. I have had no one to purchase anything and have had to buy supplies out of my own money, so I have had to reimburse myself. ( I don't carry the checks with me, I only use them to pay bills) Now one of the ladies has a problem with that. Can I hire an attorney since I run the association? We don't have one. I do have some missing receipts (ones for like $45, 50 dollars), but again I work fulltime sometime 50-60 hours per week. I am doing the best I can. Am I legally responsible if something is not in order? Again I am the only one running things. Please advise.

If you are assuming the tasks you are responsible so you may want to clearly define what you will and will not do--and either require others to help, or let the tasks go undone.
