Can you help me fully understand Texas Property Code - Section 82.113. ?
I have read the Code, but there are parts that I don´t fully understand. I have particular interest in section (k). Can a condo be a homestead? And if property has such exemption, does this exemption protect a condo? How can I discern total amount paid for condo foreclosed under Texas Property Code - Section 82.113.? How can I figure out amount HOA claims to be owed (lien on property that took it to foreclosure)? How can I find out who are the lawyers that represent new owner without asking new owner directly? Thank you for any help you can give me. |

Foreclosures usually start with the filing of a lien. Then a suit to foreclose the lien.
Look in the court records in the district in which the property is located. If you know the association name you can search for suits based on the plaintiff(name of the association) vs the defendant(name of the owner). In some counties this information is online. Elsewhere you'll need to go to the district clerk office and look it up or have it done for your for a fee. |
