Thumbs Down Condo Insurance

I live in Mississauga, Ontario. 3 weeks ago one of the condo's water pipes broke on the 6th floor. All apartments from 6th down to the ground level were damaged. I was told work would commence this week in regards to repairs to the walls, pipes, electriacal...The condo documents state that interior items such as the floors, that I should take out home insurance. Being that someone else was @ fault & my floors were damaged "Should the condo coorporation be required to any of my personal damage?"They say no.

Default Re: Condo Insurance

Normally they would be liable for such building-wide accidents yes.

You could sue the one that caused the issue and the association if need be.
