Confused used car laws & rights of consumers

I hope I am in the correct forum. I bought a used car on Monday it broke down on Tuesday. I bought it in PA w/ a used car warranty that requires a deductible to be paid on my behalf depending on the cost of repair. My question is what are my rights concerning this payment based on the fact that I didn't have the car 24 hours before it died? The car company hasn't fought me on anything or quoted a fee yet; I just want a heads up on what could happen and my rights.

usually if the defect is instant, the dealer will pay for it or even let you return it

you can go to small claims if need be

Confused Re: used car laws & rights of consumers

Okay. They are willing to fix it without any fees to me, but now how long is a proper waiting period? I bought this car to get to and from work. It has been a week and still nothing. their policy is, if they can't fix it or it will cost too much to fix then I can pick a different car that is in the same price range. I needed my car as of the day I bought it, so how long should I let them stall or drag me along? my payments are every two weeks, so can I with hold payment until I receive my car in proper working condition?
