I purchased a washer and dryer from a retailer. The original manufacturers warranty expired in August 2007. I purchased and extended 4 year warranty which expires in 2009. My washer has been out of service since October. . I've have constantly called the retailer and I have been getting the run around for 3 months now. Do I have the right to take legal action against the retailer for reimbursement of what I paid for the extended warranty or what it is costing me to go to the laundrymat weekly(we are a family of five including a 2 year old and a 3mnth old).

Yes, that is too long--Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
