I have notice that Northern Leasing Systems Inc has pulled my credit report Three times with out me knowing it. I did not autherize them to check my credit report. They are messing with my credit file. These are the dates & what for that they pulled my credit with out my approval. Equipment Leasing Apr 13, 2007, Miscellaneous and public record Apr 13, 2007, Equipment Leasing Apr 10, 2007. They had no right to access my report. I would like to sue the heck out of them. For damages. What do I do? I don't want them to access my report when ever they want. I am a fraid. I worked so hard to get my credit score up. They are making it go down.I am afraid of them messing around with my credit report. I had try to call them but they keep sending me to the leasing department. I don't get to speek to a live person. I do not have a leasing account number. But they keep sending me to that department.I am stressing over this issue. I am depress over it. I also have a heart condition. I am also disable and on disability. Please help

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.

WLD's lawyers could also intervene if necessary.

I have file a civil suit against Northern Leasing System in the US district Court eastern district court of California. I also created a web site as well for consumers. http://northernleasingsystem.net

When I applied for a loan last week, Northern Leasing showed on my credit report as owing them $1200.00, Which of cource I do not. How do I get them off my credit report?

I want to state that if you are having problems, PLEASE GO ON OFFENSE! DO NOT let this go by the wayside and allow them to get the upper hand!!

I just had a feeling that I might have problems with Golden Eagle/Northern Leasing, even after almost twelve years of being a loyal customer. So I closed my bank account before ending my business relationship with Golden Eagle/Northern leasing. So that's you first move; close the bank account where they debited the monthly rental. I would even change banks in order that they don't attempt to debit another account from that same bank, even though the account number is different.

Second; send a FAX to Golden Eagle/Northern with a bank copy of your last batch using that terminal and then state your business relationship was ended on that date. Then mail a copy of that FAX by SIGNATURE Confirmation. Put on the letter that this is the hard copy of the FAX sent December 30th, 2008 at 2:20 pm EST.

Next, contact your state's Attorney General and file a complaint. In my case, they have claimed that I'm still under contract. (Who in the hell in their right mind signs a 12 year contract!!!!! I sure didn't! It had to have been forged by Golden Eagle/Northern)

Next, Accounting 101 tells you that major office equipment depreciates to scrap value after ten years. (Some credit card terminals much sooner because of new technology.) If they try to sell you the machine or force a buy out, REFUSE! It has $0 salvage value....SCRAP!

Go to the BBB. Even though the BBB has a negative rating for this company, Golden Eagle/Northern either has to respond or it's negative rating increases.

I am really shocked at this. Almost twelve years as a loyal customer and then to be rudely treated with an extortion attempt to boot.

If you have a business website and are using a new company for your credit card services, be sure to put a warning on your website advising other potential businesses to STAY AWAY from Golden Eagle/Northern and what ever other aliases they use. Back up your statements with good quality news articles, court case documents and well written feedback from some of the consumer websites.

GO ON OFFENSE!!!

OK. Now that I have further info, it's time to get people on board for another Class Action.

Yesterday I received a copy of my so-called "contract". I NEVER SIGNED THIS DOCUMENT! It's strange that when Northern Leasing/Golden Eagle answered my BBB complaint, they used a black marker to scratch out my signature on this copy!

The address of my company is incorrect. A witness did not sign the contract, as stipulated. The name under my signature has been printed in by someone other than myself. I've done a lot of slick printing in my life when composing my own catalogs. This appears to be a combination of "carbon paper" use and tracing. The document they sent was copied in black & white, but showed signs of being a COLOR page because of certain "mass speckles" which appear when copying color pages. And finally, I would NEVER be dumb enough to sign a non-cancelleable contract!

This case has now turned from civil to criminal. I have informed the BBB that I want to put this complaint on hold since it has now turned from civil to criminal. I will being amending my Michigan Attorney General complaint to add these criminal infractions of forgery, fraud and extortion. I have contacted the local county prosecutor.

I was a loyal Golden Eagle customer for 12 years. The terminal is no longer manufactured. It is not PCI Compliant and is not repairable or upgradable. The unit is worthless and deserves absolutely NO BUYOUT! Under new federal laws, it needs to be sent to a federal recycling center. (Has something to do with identity theft.) Therefore, since I don't want get into trouble with the feds, I am holding on to this terminal. Besides, from what I have read here and at Rip-Off Report.com, it seems even when you return these terminals, they will find something wrong with it or find something missing in order to create more fraudulent charges.

I am looking for people who want to jump on board a class action suit, mostly from a CRIMINAL aspect.

I need clients of Northern Leasing (and thier related companies) who:

1) Fulfilled their initial contract of 48, 60 or 72 months. The longer they remained after the initial lease requirement....the better.

2) I need people who never received their paperwork back from the broker's who set up their credit card account.

3) I need people who have had their paperwork forged or paperwork that was never presented to them for signature. (Many have talked about pages two, three and four being added later....)

4) I need to hear from people whose terminals are not PCI Compliant. (You may need to do some research on this.) If Northern Leasing is found to be distributing non-PCI Compliant terminals, this could be a massive federal AND INTERNATIONAL problem for them.

I understand some of you have hardship stories and had to dump out of your initial contract early. However, right now, we need the strongest cases to present to the courts. People who are being abused and extorted after MANY years of being a dedicated customer. (As in my case....TWELVE YEARS!)

Why twelve years? My monthly rate was only $44. It was paying for itself each month. And believe it or not, the terminal was dependable as hell. I never had a break down in those twelve years! (I guess I was lucky....)

Please contact me with your tale of woe (without any spelling or grammatical errors since this looks good in front of a lawyer....) via the information below....

P.S. I already have one person on board. A physician in Kansas City. He returned the terminal in perfect condition and Northern claimed that he didn't return everything. So he continues to be charges by the month.

UPDATE!

I'm the one who was a faithful customer of Golden Eagle/Northern Leasing for almost twelve years!

I have heard from NUMEROUS people since posting on this discussion board.

A few of us contacted a Chicago law firm who told us they couldn't go after a Class Action until the one in NY is finished. We were advised to contact the NY law firm a request to be a part of that class.

I went to the Michigan State Police with the forged copy of the contract and they persuaded the Michigan Attorney General to pursue. Northern Leasing gave in, claiming that by doing so, this wasn't any admission of liability of guilt.

I'm not letting it end. These people need to be taken down. I will do as the Attorney General "bargained" for on my behalf....the simple return of the terminal. (Against the better judgment of the Michigan State Police who feel that Northern will come up with the usual excuse: "We never got t!" "Not everything was returned!" "It was returned to us in non-functioning condition!" You can bet I'm having my bank test the terminal and sign an affidavit attesting to its operation. I will also have SIGNATURE Confirmation and insurance up the butt on this parcel.)

I had a former broker for Northern step forward. They told me they were encouraged by Northern Leasing to change the numbers on the contracts. For example, if a contract came in for 18 months....they were told to turn the 18 into a 48!!

UPDATE #2

I am amazed at the number of people I'm hearing from and some of the stories they are telling. People from all over the world!!

It's VERY obvious that local, state and federal authorities are reluctant to go after these bastards because they provide HUGE amounts of tax revenue to their little governmental minions.

So....what I plan on doing around mid-July....is putting together a comprehensive (but brief) letter to several national news/network investigative TV programs. (i.e. Dateline NBC, Inside Edition, 20/20, etc.)

With such a diverse and talented group of people, I believe we have a very compelling story to tell and perhaps...just perhaps....we can find someone, somewhere in authority to shut this organized crime syndicate down.

This scandal is FAR worse than Bernie Madoff because it involves:

1) MANY more billions of dollars
2) It strikes at the fabric of this nation: The small business owner

I signed an agreement with them about 10 years ago and the business ended. I asked to return the equipment/end the agreement and they gave me some huge buyout figure. I haven't used the equipment for 8 years or so and they won't end the agreement. They have a judgement. What to do?
