Where do I start?
First encounter with the legal depart of NLS. Two years ago, I fulfilled my lease on a credit card machine. on contract i was to keep the machine and send in a payment of 175.00 With a letter of completing my contract. Lucky I called to confirm. I was told I had to send the machine back with payment and letter. as time went by, payments were still being taken out of my bank Account for this machine. after two week i got the card back where they had to sign to Receive the box with the stuff inside. Two weeks later another payment was taken out of my bank account. so i called, and they confirmed the machine was in their hands, Moneyorder was cashed and the letter was on file. next month payment removed again, so i called again and was Told it takes time and the payments on the machine would stop. Forth month payment removed, so I said to heII with this $hit. I closed my bank account and went to a nother bank. next month they called, got no money, account closed, Threatened a suit, I told them to hold on, contract was fulfilled. machine was sent back, money order was sent and cashed, was told letter was on file, where do you get off suing me for fulfilling my contract, to cut it this part short, this was the end Of the credit card machine with them. Now the good stuff. During this time I purchased a sign for my business. Found out northern leasing was going to help me buy this sign. they buy it at a low price and charge me a high price every month Until paid off. since i closed my account because of the credit card machine NLS told me to send payments to south Dakota, fearing they would Grab my new bank account if I send a check, I sent postal money orders. Now in may of 2006 I was contacted by the legal department NLS by one Jenny Salus, i was told that i was not making payments And I would be sued in New York for the amount of 1488.22. i told MIS Salus i made payments, infact i have been over paying on every payment to pay you off sooner then contracts end. MIS Salus called me a liar, and that no matter of what i said It was irrelevant, they were right I was wrong and that was it. so i bent over backwards, i mailed copies of moneyorder payments for the months she told me was missing, i even spent my money at the post office to find out where the money orders were deposited and Sent copies of this too. I will say this now instead of later. working with MIS salus must of been a joke because the company Did something she did not know about. so as time went by and the mail showed up in new York with the copies of proof of payment, my debt went from 1488.22 to 733.22 and as far as I knew my account was back on track, little did I know a good shock was coming. Knowing just how much was left I paid the account off in full. On the month of may 2007 my bank does a credit check on me. It is something they do every year when you are given a line of credit. to make sure everything is all right and somebody has not stolen your Name. Last year when checked month of may 2006 everything was fine. come to find out this year, Northern leasing system filed 1488.22 on my credit back on the month of June 2006 for failure of payment while MIS salus was holding proof of payments made by postal money orders In the amount of $150.00 for each month that she told me that was missing. just recently i received a bill for 1989.00 on an account that was wrote off on my credit back in June of 2006 for 1488.22 that i can clearly prove Was paid off a couple of months ago by postal money orders. so what kind of a law suit do i have here for ruining my credit For past 12 months and growing. |

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.

Its very simple. The fact is that the lease contract is "unconscionable". For more information about that and how it relates to MBF Leasing LLC., Northern Leasing Systems Inc., and the many other names this company crookedly and deceptively operates under, check out my website:
