Class action lawsuit against Northern Leasing Systems, Inc.

The Gutride Safier LLP law firm has recently filed a class action lawsuit against Northern Leasing, MBF Leasing, Merchant Services, TransFirst, and a number of other entities and individuals associated with these companies.

The firm is representing small businesses that have been fraudulently enrolled into credit card processing agreements and equipment leases. The lawsuit is in federal court in San Francisco and brings claims for racketeering, fraud, and other legal violations.

Just finished my 4 year contract and
I was also dooked by Northern Leasing company
into signing the 1st page and never supplied with the full contact.
Also the rate on contract was $79.95 and I was billed $90.50 for
4 years....is it too late to file a complaint????

No--see the other posts in this forum and send your details to the class action lawyers as well.

Northern Leasing Systems fraud case

Was wondering after an account is closed can Northern Leasing come back and take money out of your account without notifying you...My account has been closed for about a year and a half and Northern Leasing said we owed back property tax that they didn't charge us for in 2008 and 2009 which cam up to $103.00. My question is ,do they have the right to take money out of my account once the account is closed without notifying us first?

It depends which lawyer is better

Sue them and you will find oyt weather they could take money from your account without notifying.

i called them after my lease ended and the said that im going month to month and they refused to remove my bank account information ... i send them back thier s*it and still billed me for 2 month because they did not get a 30 day note for canceltion.. what a MF company $2400 for a lease on a $300 terminal

No---and your bank must reverse any withdrawal that you say is unauthorized.

I got a letter in the mail today from SKS Associates letting me know they would be pulling $147.87 out of my account today, due to un-paid property taxes. My lease with Northern was paid off in 2008. It is too late to stop the transaction now, but I have contacted my bank to dispute it. I called the customer service number on the letter and get Northern Leasing on the phone. They tell me an audit was done this year and that is how they discovered the missing charge. I ask them that if I owed them money why did they not send me an invoice so that it could be paid if needed. I also ask them if they normally turn people over to a collection agency for money owed without invoiceing the customer first. Their reply was that SKS was an auditor and not a collection agency. I mentioned that if you pull up SKS at the BBB their status is collection agency, same adress and everything. We also have been paying the property taxes on the lease and have proof of that from our local county tax office. None of this seems to make a difference to them.
Also if I go to the county offices web page they are not listed as a tax payer. They would have to have a record of the taxes paid which they can not come up with. They can't even give me a parcel number for the property I am supposedly paying the taxes on. They can't even come up with a parcel number for my property.
In my opinion all of this is fraud and I will fight it.
