I wish to inform you that terms of your loan agreement will govern repossession. If it mentions that you will be given some five or ten days late payment window then your vehicle may be taken only after that period during which you are allowed to pay late. However, if your agreement is silent and you have not paid money on time then your creditor can repossess the vehicle as soon as default had happened. Default is generally when the terms of the agreement have been broken. Non payment of amount at due date is generally regarded as amount default and hence vehicle can be repossessed. Further, your creditor cannot use force for repossession of vehicle. Repossession can be done only peacefully.
