The BATTERY is Finnneee. Just change the brightness to the lowest one and the backlight to 0 or dim off something like that.

A rep at the T-Mobile store confirmed to us today that T-Mobile is going to offer a software upgrade ( in a month or so ) to fix the battery problem with the Gravity ( T459) phone. Not sure if this is really true. Have no idea how they will contact customers... told us to keep checking in at the store.. I see nothing on the web in reference to this but he assured us that all the T-Mobile employees were aware of this problem and solution. He also told us that the Gravity actually had 40% power when it dropped to one bar. I don't think he is correct since it drops so rapidly.

If a T-Mobile moderator reads this, please confirm if this is true. It's very frustrating to know that T-Mobile continued to sell these phones at Christmas with no mention to the customer of the battery problem or advise on saving battery power. At this time the battery will be fully charged overnight and have one bar by 3pm and no power by dinner- with virtually no use of the phone.

Anyone else hear of this software upgrade?

Cool Re: Samsung Gravity cell phone poor battery life

Must've got jipped. I got my gravity a week ago, my battery lasted 2 1/2 days after a full charge. That included texting, making n receiving calls, and checking email. My battery kicks ass.

I've been starting to see Firmware pop up for the samsung cellphone Pixon (www.samsungcellphone.org), has anyone flashed their Pixon yet? If so how do you do it? and 2 any improvements yet? I have M8800DZHK2, I've seen an IA2 f/w (Jan '08 Rev 2) pop up but from what I could tell it's russian. I've always wished there was a site that would list the firmwares available, and differences between them all the way back since my S300 days.

It's not the battery itself, it's the phone not reading the charge properly. That is what the firmware upgrade will fix. I had mine on one bar for over 6 hours. The battery life is fine for me, it's just the phone improperly displaying how much of a charge is left.
