Angry Odometer Fraud!

Hello, I had just bought a car early this year in Jan and it was a used car from Chrysler, jeep and Dodge here in Moncton. When we bought the car the Paper work said the car had $48,000/KMs on it and we thought that was a really good deal, until we got it home and after a couple of days we realized that the Odometer actually said like 16,000/kms on it. We thought that was kind of fishy, so I went back to the dealership to ask why it was different and they said it must have been a \"clerical error\" or something. So I figured that could be true and carried on my merry way, since this is my 1st car I am not really sure how these things work. So something broke on my car and I just checked today to see if its still under warrenty and the actual Hundyai dealer ship tells me that there was like 54,500/kms on it last time the previous owner took it in for warranty. So now I am unsure what to do and I am pretty sure I am a victim of Odometer Fraud, any info on this matter would be !greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You need to document everything, go back to the dealer with info in hand, tell them that this is fraud and you will report this to the OPP as such.

Let the OPP sort this out, but...DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, use email as much as you can as talking will likely resort to he said - she said and that won't hold up in small claims court.

Or you can do nothng.

I had the same thing happen and got two expert opinions, and the dealer settled by paying me the decreased value of the car.

I shoulda filed charge crimninally!!
