Angry Re: HP Pavilion 9000 series hinge break and burn problem

I am so upset. I just spoke to Jay from HP. His ID # is 625797 and he is located in the Phillipines & sd he is a superviser. My Hp pavillion's left hinge just cracked and broke. I panicked and called HP. They know that this is a product default but sd that they do not fix them after May of 09. He sd the company understands how I feel and they will give me a discount for 1/2 the cost of it's repair and I would have to pay approx. $150.00. I told him I should not have to pay for a product defect because I took care of my lap top and it did not break in the proper time frame for them. If a class action law suit is going to start. Let me in. I will NEVER purchase an HP product again!! If they can not back their product, I want nothing to do with them. But I do want my lap top fixed.

Could you please let me, and the many others, know how and where your colleague pushed?

Thanks.
