Thumbs Down Can a women be sued?

Can a women that lied about being on birth control so she could actually become pregnant on purpose in order to extort money from the man and his family be sued for damages in a civil case? Or be charged criminally some how like extortion.
Have there been any cases that have set presidents in similar actions?

She could be found guilty of fraud among other things if that indeed can be proven.

...and damages could be awarded.
