Confused CREDITOR IS SUING ME

Hello I was served with a summons a creditor is suing me. I have received the summons a week ago and I have 20 days to respond. From what I can tell so far the debt is mine. How do I respond to the summons also what do I need to say? I am in Arizona and do not want my wages garnished. I am consumed in debt and am most likely going to file for bankruptcy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
